Your library in Rhapsody is a central spot for finding, organizing and managing your music whether it is music you have streamed from the online Rhapsody Music library or music that you have burned to your harddrive from a CD or music that you have downloaded from Rhapsody or music you have purchased from rhapsody. The My Library function gives you a nice iTunes like interface for quickly finding an artist, album, genre or track that you have previously listened to through Rhapsody.

Everytime you find a new song and play it through Rhapsody, it is added to your library automatically. Anytime you burn, download or rip a song - it is added to your library. It’s the fastest way to find music that you have already listened to.

Here is how to use the library in the Rhapsody 3.1 client (the My Library currently does not exist in the Active X version of Rhapsody available through the web site). Open Rhapsody, click on My Library and search using the browse button, the artist/album/genre drop down on the left or the search box in the upper right.

The My Library is also the place to go to make a song that you have streamed from Rhapsody playable off line (a download to your harddrive that is available as long as your subscription to Rhapsody is active) and a place to buy a song from Rhapsody if you want to keep it and burn it to CDs. Simply right click the song in My Library and select either Buy Tracks or Download Tracks.

So, don’t be afraid to use and explore the My Library feature of Rhapsody. It is your friend.
